Colin McDearman

Hailed by WQXR radio as a “pianist of dazzling color”, Colin McDearman is an avid performer and music educator that has been featured as a soloist in venues across the United States, Europe, and South America. Performances in recent venues include the Petit Palais and Alfred Cortot Concert Hall in Paris, the Chiesa di San Maggiore in Maiori, Italy, and the Franz Liszt concert hall in Vienna. Colin has been a first-prize winner of several prestigious piano competitions including the Mary O’Fearing International Piano Competition, the Zimerlini Solo Piano Competition, and was recently named a winner of the 2023 Beverly Hills National Artist Auditions.
In addition to solo performance Colin has been involved in several chamber music programs. In 2015 he attended the Conservatoire Américain in Fontainebleau, France; a historic program traditionally headed by Nadia Boulanger featuring notable alumni Aaron Copland, Elliot Carter, and Philip Glass. Recently, he was an artistic fellow at the Sarasota Music Festival. His trio, Fidelis, has performed in concert series in Fontainebleau and Belgium.
