Nova Sheck is a passionate music educator and classical pianist. She started her piano lessons at the age of four with the well-known Chinese pianists and educators Wang Peihua and Dan Zhaoyi in China. After receiving her bachelor’s degrees Nova Sheck was chosen as a candidate for Sino-French national cultural and artistic exchanges program. She made her international debut performing and communication tour in Paris of piano concerto “Yellow River” with the national Orchestra when she was twenty-four years old. Nova has performed collaborative recitals with the national musicians to high acclaim in cities across the world, such as London, Nice, Grasse, Warsaw, Rome, Barcelona, and Dubai since 2008.

Nova has both professional classical music background and international media operations experience. She used to work for HKS (Hong Kong Satellite TV International Media Group) as a music director for more than ten years. Nova Sheck was a specialist music program producer when she worked for the multimedia platforms and business groups. She has involved produced the main themes and soundtracks for more than 20 Documentaries and TV programs. She also served as the Vice President of the Hong Kong International Media Group since 2017.  During this time, she was sent to London as the General Director and Solo Representative of the HKS Classical Music program company in the UK. Nova received her master’s degree from the United Kingdom, and earned her diploma in economics, public policy, and management at St. Edmund Hall college within the University of Oxford.

As the Director of Education Division at Piano Empire in Los Angeles, Nova was selected for the Music Educator Award as one of the GRAMMY nominees in Los Angles, due to her incredible music field work and remarkable impact of piano education in 2020. The GRAMMY Music Educator Award is supported by the NAMM (National Association for Music Education). Her students have won prizes at international, national competitions such as International Music Competition Salzburg "Grand Prize Virtuoso". American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF), Satori Piano Competition, and many other MTAC Branch Competitions.

Hundreds have been inspired by Nova’s encouraged to learn classical piano performance and discover new worlds of self-expression and understanding. The phenomenon, known as the Asian Family in LA “Piano Learning Effect”, has been exported widely with help from the Nova Sheck and Piano Empire. For many years she has worked tirelessly to promote education, notably as a promotion brand ambassador for Schimmel series.

In addition to supporting the development of music education, Nova is actively involved in the international piano program as the Co-Founder of the Empire Music Foundation. She is also the Co-Founder and president of Pacific Stars International Piano Competition.
