Hanyuan Zhu, was born in Ningbo, China on Oct.26, 2004. Hanyuan started playing piano in 2010 at the age of six years old. He entered the affiliated primary school of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and studied with Professor Mrs.Yang Yunlin from 2014. While studying in primary school at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Hanyuan got No.1 in the Grade final exams every year. In 2017, he entered middle school affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music without entrance examinations due to No.1 in the graduation exam. Hanyuan was awarded the Scholarship of “Niu Ende” in school every year, the “Fu Chengxian” Scholarship, and so on. Hanyuan is an artist of the “Yangtze River Piano Young Pianist training plan”. In 2020,2021,2022,2023 Hanyuan was selected to participate in “Morningside Music Bridge” which is an international summer program for young musicians of extraordinary talent.
Hanyuan showed extraordinary ability and talent in music from the beginning to play piano. After one and half years of learning piano, since 2011 he has won many prizes in national and international piano competitions, such as “The Ettelingen young pianist international competition”, No.1 in“Xinhai Cup”, No.1 in“Cadenza Chinese Works”, No.1“Imola international” and so on.
In 2018, won Grand Prix, Best Mazurk, and Best Concerto prizes in the 7th Asean International Chopin Piano.
In 2019, attended the 2nd Beijing Chopin International Piano Competition, at the youngest age of 14-year-old in the Senior Group, and won the Final prize and best Mazurk prize.
In 2020, Third prize in the “17th Ettelingen Young Pianist International Competition”, Germany.
In 2023, 2nd prize of International Anton Rubinstein Wettbewerb 2023-Klavier
Hanyuan has rich performance experience in public performance in many countries, such as China, the USA, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy etc, and also attends many Music Festivals and Masterclass every year, and is highly appraised by the professors. Hanyuan also likes playing games, reading books, and also like skywatching and astronomy.
