Pacific Stars Live Competition General Rules

1. The 2026 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition is open to contestants of all nationalities.

2. Application Deadlines for the Live Competition:

• San Diego Regional Round: March 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Seattle Regional Round: April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Washington DC Regional Round: April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• San Francisco Regional Round: April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Los Angeles Regional Round: May 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

  3. The regular application fee is $150, with a payment deadline of April 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PST).

  4. The late application fee is $160, with a payment deadline of May 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PST).​

  5. All application and registration fees are non-refundable.

  6. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  7. All decisions made by the jury are final and unappealable.

  8. Contestants waive all rights and claims to the use of submitted videos and photos contained in their application.

  9. The 2026 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition will not be responsible for accommodation or airfare related to any performance or recital awarded as a result of participation.

 10. First, Second, and Third Prizes will be awarded in each category. Tied prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the jury.

 11. The jury will provide written comments for all contestants.

 12. ​Contestants who are not selected for the Final Round in one Regional Round may reapply to participate in another Regional Round.

 13. The jury reserves the right to stop any performance that exceeds the assigned time limit.

 14. Contestants' ages will be calculated based on June 1st, 2026.
