Live Competition Requirements

The 2025 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition Final will be held IN-PERSON at California State University, Long Beach – Bob Cole Conservatory of Music
📅 June 13 – June 14, 2025

Contestants may choose to participate in a Regional Round at one of the following locations before advancing to the Final:

Seattle
San Diego
Los Angeles
San Francisco
Washington, D.C.

Age Categories

Prodigy: Age 6 and under: (1-2 Free Selection, 3 Minutes Maximum)

Rising Star: Age 7-8: (1-2 Free Selection, 4 Minutes Maximum)

Youth: Age 9-10: (1-2 Free Selection, 5 Minutes Maximum)

Junior Artist: Age 11-12: (1-2 Free Selection, 6 Minutes Maximum)

Young Artist A: Age 13-14: (1-2 Free Selection, 7 Minutes Maximum)

Young Artist B: Age 15-16: (1-2 Free Selection, 7 Minutes Maximum)

Artist: Age 17 and up: (1-2 Free Selection, 8 Minutes Maximum)

Each category's top two prize winners will be invited to participate in the Final Round. Participants can choose the same or different repertoire from the regional round.

Young Artist A: Age 13-14 (1-2 Free Selection, 8 Minutes Maximum)

Young Artist B: Age 15-16 (1-2 Free Selection, 8 Minutes Maximum)

Artist: Age 17 and up (1-2 Free Selection, 9 Minutes Maximum)
