Live Piano Competition Application Information

• A completed online application form is required.

• The regular application fee is $150. Zelle payments do not incur a service fee, while PayPal payments include an additional $10 service fee.

• Application Deadlines for the Live Competition:

• San Diego Regional Round: March 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Seattle Regional Round: April 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Washington DC Regional Round: April 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• San Francisco Regional Round: April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• Los Angeles Regional Round: May 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM (PST)

• The late application fee increases to $160 after May 1, 2026 (Los Angeles Regional Round).

• The application and payment deadline is May 20, 2026 (Los Angeles Regional Round).

• To complete registration, contestants must complete the application form, upload all required documents, and submit the form electronically.

• The application fee must be paid at the time of submission in order for the application to be processed.

• All solo repertoire must be performed from memory in order for the contestant to be eligible for prizes or placement.

• Performance schedules will be assigned at random.

• The decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.

• Repertoire information is not required at the time of application. However, contestants are required to complete an Evaluation Form on site during the competition, which includes their repertoire information.

Optional Video Submission

Contestants who are unable to attend any Live Regional Round may apply through the Optional Video Submission.

• Optional Video Submission Application Deadline: April 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM (PST)

• The Optional Video Submission is a preliminary selection process only and is not an online competition or online final.

• A limited number of outstanding contestants will be selected from video submissions and invited to participate in the Final Round in person in Los Angeles.
