Stephanie Yuan's love for music started at a young age of 4, and she has been playing the piano ever since. Her piano journey has been led by Doctor Roger Cui, who has been her teacher from the start. Along the way, Stephanie has also had the privilege of attending masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Glenn Riddle and consultation classes with Natasha Vlassenko.

Stephanie's talent in piano was apparent from a young age, and she achieved the AMEB Grade 4 at just 6 years old. She continued to excel in her piano skills and obtained a High Distinction in the AMEB Grade 8 at age 8. Stephanie's current focus is preparing for her AMusA exam.

In addition to piano, Stephanie also started playing the violin at age 6 equivalent to AMEB Grade 7. Her passion for music has driven her to participate in numerous competitions and eisteddfods. She started her first piano competition at 6 years old, where she won 3rd place. Since then, she has won several 1st place awards in various competitions, including Ipswich, Wynnum, Logan Beenleigh, and Redland Eisteddfod. Stephanie also won the 1st place in the QLD Piano competition in 2021 and 2022. She has won 1st place for Somerville House Solo Instrument Piano for 3 consecutive years from 2020 to 2022 and secured 2nd place in the 2022 Somerville House Piano competition in open age.
