Adam Gravelle

Canadian pianist Adam Gravelle is an acclaimed soloist and chamber musician whose performances have taken him throughout Canada, the United States, Scotland, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, he began playing the piano at an early age, developing his skills through improvisation and ear training, which laid the foundation for a deeply intuitive, expressive, and stylistically informed musical approach.

Mr. Gravelle holds an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance from Cambrian College in Ontario, Canada, a Bachelor of Music degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, and a Master of Music degree from Rowan University in New Jersey. His principal teachers include Dr. Charlene Biggs, Dr. Metro Kozak, Timothy Steeves, and Veda Zuponcic, whose guidance helped shape his artistic voice and technical command.

Mr. Gravelle has earned top prizes in a range of national and international competitions and was the winner of Rowan University’s Concerto Competition. He has furthered his artistic development through summer studies, chamber music collaborations, and masterclasses with distinguished pianists Marc-André Hamelin, Louis Lortie, Robert Silverman, Marc Durand, Robert Silverman, and Eduardo Delgado.

As a dedicated piano educator, Mr. Gravelle is committed to fostering a lifelong love of learning and of music in each student. He emphasizes confidence, artistic integrity, and disciplined practice, encouraging students to develop both technical proficiency and musical independence. His students, spanning all levels, have earned numerous awards and distinctions in competitions and examinations. Mr. Gravelle currently serves as President of the MTAC South Coast Branch.
