Anna Grigorian

Anna Grigorian is a concert pianist, educator, artist and composer. She is a member of the award-winning Grigorian Gubenko Piano Duo.

Born in the Republic of Georgia to an Armenian family with strong cultural and artistic roots, Anna earned her Masters Degree in Musicology and Piano Pedagogy from the Armenian State Conservatory (Summa cum Laude) and later had studied at Boston University. 

After the geopolitical changes in the region in the 90’s she had to relocate to several countries, adapting to new languages and cultures along the way, until she found her new home in the United States.

Since 2009 Anna lives and works in Southern California. In addition to teaching and a busy performing schedule, she is actively involved with music organizations, such as MTNA, MTAC and CAPMT. She is a frequent adjudicator at piano competitions and examinations, and presents masterclasses, lectures and publications on topics related to piano pedagogy and piano duet performance.

In addition to her musical activities, Anna is an avid abstract painter and a member of the RSF Art Guild.
