Originally from Taiwan, pianist Ching-Yi has performed at distinguished venues including the Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, National Recital Hall, The Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts in New Jersey, Van Cliburn Concert Hall, Washington National Cathedral, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Since 2023, Lin’s career has expanded with invitations to celebrated concert series such as the Benny C. Morgan Concert Series, Gijon International Piano Festival, Mildred McDaniel Concert Series, Peabody Noon Recital, Russian Concert Series at Hood College, and Sevenars Summer Festival—recognized by Time Magazine as one of the best small festivals in the United States. His 2025–2026 season features an East Coast tour marking Maurice Ravel’s 150th birthday.

A prizewinner in numerous international competitions, Lin’s honors include the Beethoven International Piano Competition in Singapore, New York International Artists Association Competition, NTD International Piano Competition in New York City, Second Prize at the Texas State International Piano Competition, Third Prize at the Marbella International Piano Competition, and the Wonderlic Piano Competition.

He has collaborated with members of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. In 2024, he was guest pianist in a concert honoring Leon Fleisher at the Mohican Hills Concert Series.

A dedicated educator, Lin has presented masterclasses and lectures at the College of Southern Maryland, Ocean County College, Soochow University, University of Maryland, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and Virginia Tech. He holds both master and doctoral degrees at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, where he studied with Alexander Shtarkman as a recipient of the Richard Franko Goldman Prize in Performance. From 2021 to 2024, he served as a faculty associate at the Peabody Institute, and since 2025, he has been a faculty member at Montgomery College.
