Remi Yu holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from Showa University of Music in Japan. She received rigorous classical training within the highly disciplined framework of Japanese music education, where she developed a strong technical foundation and refined artistic sensibility.
In addition to piano performance, Ms. Yu pursued professional studies in Electone, expanding her understanding of tonal color, texture, and multi-layered musical interpretation. Her experience in composition and arrangement has further deepened her insight into musical structure, stylistic awareness, and interpretative nuance.
With over nine years of teaching and performance experience, Ms. Yu has mentored students of various levels, guiding them in competitions, recitals, and graded examinations. She has received recognition in national piano competitions and holds professional teaching certifications, demonstrating both artistic achievement and pedagogical expertise.
Influenced by the precision, structural clarity, and high artistic standards emphasized in Japanese musical training, Ms. Yu approaches evaluation with thoughtful attention to technical control, stylistic authenticity, musical expression, and stage presence. She is committed to fairness, professionalism, and inspiring young musicians to pursue excellence with both discipline and individuality.
Ms. Yu is honored to serve as a judge for the 2026 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition.
