Valeria Kravchenko

Dr. Valeria Kravchenko is an accomplished pianist and dedicated music educator based in San Diego, California. She is the founder and director of the Valeria Kravchenko Piano Studio and serves as Chair of the Romantic Era Music Festival in San Diego, where she plays an active role in artistic planning and music education initiatives.

Dr. Kravchenko holds a PhD in Music Art from the Kharkiv University of Arts in Ukraine and brings over 18 years of teaching experience to her work. Her professional background includes eight years as a piano, music theory, and music history instructor at a musical college in Ukraine, followed by more than ten years of private piano teaching in San Diego. She has worked successfully with students of all ages and levels, fostering both technical excellence and artistic growth.

Her students consistently earn Certificates of Merit and ABRSM certifications each year and have received top prizes in numerous local, national, and international competitions, including the Junior Bach Competition, Concordia Piano Competition (Irvine), Sonata Competition (Carlsbad), Amadeus Awards (Vienna), Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition, Florida Keys International Competition (New York), and the Pacific Stars International Piano Competition (Los Angeles).

Beyond competitions, Dr. Kravchenko’s students regularly perform throughout San Diego at venues such as the Steinway Gallery, libraries, churches, and after-school programs, and nationally at prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall in New York.

Dr. Kravchenko is an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT). She is deeply committed to cultivating well-rounded musicians through comprehensive technical training, stylistic awareness, and expressive artistry.
